This award is given as a form of appreciation for UKNP's success and commitment in environmental law enforcement efforts, especially in handling cases of Javan Rhino poaching. The Deputy for Pollution Control and Environmental Damage in the Ministry of Environment/Environmental Management Agency (KLH/BPLH), Rasio Ridho Sani, represented Indonesia in the submission.
In this event, Ujung Kulon National Park successfully won the award in the "IMPACT" category through the extraordinary performance of the UKNP Operations Task Force in the efforts to uncover and handle poaching cases in the conservation area.
The Head of the Ujung Kulon National Park Agency, Ardi Andono, expressed gratitude and pride for this achievement. "This award is the result of the hard work of all UKNP Agency personnel, with support from the Directorate General of Law Enforcement of the Ministry of Forestry, the National Police and the Indonesian Armed Forces, as well as the District Attorney's Office and Judges from the Pandeglang District Court, and also the surrounding community in handling the Javan Rhino poaching case some time ago. We hope that this award will serve as a motivation for all UKNP personnel to be even more enthusiastic and continue to increase vigilance against all forms of disturbance, especially wildlife poaching in the UKNP area," he said.
The AEEE 2024–2025 award confirms Ujung Kulon National Park's position as one of the conservation areas that holds an important role at the regional and international levels in maintaining biodiversity and enforcing environmental law.
